August: DIY Enrichment Ideas

Bunny toys that are cheap, safe, and enjoyable for bunnies are often difficult to find so, this is a 'How to' on making your own at home!

Paper + Food

One simple DIY enrichment toy you could make is comprised of 2 items - unbleached, natural paper, and pellets or treats. To make this enrichment, simply scatter the pellets/treats on the paper, then scrunch it up into a ball. Your bun will surely be entertained by ripping it apart and rolling it around to get their food!

Foraging box

Another form of enrichment bunnies often enjoy is searching for their food by digging. Simply scatter some of their food into a box loosely filled with hay or shredded paper, and let them dig through it to find their food.
